Vitalik: Previously Supported Permissive Licensing, Now More Focused on Copyleft
Odaily Planet Daily News: Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated in a post that he has always supported permissive licensing, as he generally dislikes copyright from a philosophical perspective and greatly appreciates the copyleft concept of "using copyright against itself." However, his views have now shifted, and he is now more focused on copyleft. Since open source has become mainstream, it is more practical to encourage companies to embrace open source. Companies like Google, Microsoft, and Huawei are all adopting open source. In addition, competition in the cryptocurrency sector is becoming increasingly fierce and profit-driven.(Note: Copyleft is a concept and licensing method that contrasts with traditional copyright. Copyleft licenses require that derivative works based on the original must also be open source under the same license, ensuring that the work remains open and shared throughout its dissemination and development.)

TON Foundation: No Formal Agreement Reached Yet with UAE Government Entities on Golden Visa Program
According to ChainCatcher, the TON Foundation has issued an official statement clarifying that the UAE Golden Visa initiative stems from an independent collaboration between TON and a licensed partner focused on blockchain infrastructure and tokenized assets. This exploratory effort has not yet resulted in any formal agreement with UAE government entities. This collaboration is still in the early development stage and aims to explore how a blockchain-based compliance framework could ultimately support real-world residency pathways. All services must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Submitting an application does not guarantee visa issuance, as the authority to grant visas remains solely with the relevant UAE government agencies.
