I. Project Introduction

Impossible Cloud Network (ICNT) is a decentralized cloud infrastructure network built for next-generation AI and Web3 applications. Its goal is to reshape the traditional cloud computing landscape by abstracting storage, compute, and networking capabilities into a unified, high-performance, permissionless base platform. Through a composable modular architecture, ICN enables enterprise-grade on-demand resource allocation while breaking free from reliance on legacy big-tech cloud vendors.

ICN is composed of three layers:

  • Hardware Resource Layer (ScalerNode): Provides real computational, bandwidth, and storage resources
  • Protocol Layer (HyperNode): Handles network consensus, security mechanisms, and the economic model
  • Developer Layer: Exposes object storage, container hosting, and general-purpose compute APIs

This layered structure ensures system resilience, scalability, and censorship resistance.

ICN is now live on mainnet, serving over 1,000 enterprise clients, with $7 million+ ARR and 80+ PB of active storage. It achieves 23,000 cloud transactions per second—rivaling hyper-scale cloud providers—and is deeply integrated with a $1B+ cloud backup and ISV ecosystem, showing strong commercial adoption.

Unlike many DePIN projects that remain at the whitepaper stage or offer only isolated services, ICN is live, with a positive flywheel driven by real-world staking, nodes, and enterprise demand. As “AI + decentralized infrastructure” becomes a key narrative, ICN is leading the charge by blending Web3 openness with enterprise-grade capability.

II. Project Highlights

  1. Modular Architecture, Unified Core Capabilities
ICN is not just another DePIN vertical, but a protocol unifying object storage, compute, and bandwidth into one tech stack. This modular approach breaks down traditional “resource silos” in cloud, allowing plugin-like extensibility and maximizing system flexibility and scalability for both enterprises and developers.
  2. Multi-Layer Node System Combining Security & Performance
ICN’s backbone is a dual-node system: ScalerNodes provide the physical resources; HyperNodes maintain protocol consensus and operation. HyperNodes are incentivized via staking and Slashing for bad behavior, while ScalerNodes are live-monitored and scored. This “stake-driven, performance-verified” approach is one of the most complete DePIN designs to date.
  3. Real-World Business, Documented Revenue
While most DePINs are still conceptual, ICN has already signed over 1,000 enterprise clients, exceeds $7M ARR, and supports 80PB in active storage—the result of genuine product-market fit and enduring client relationships. This drives intrinsic demand for the token and ensures continuous cash flow for ecosystem development.
  4. AI-Cloud Backbone: Capturing the Next Major Narrative
As AI’s cloud compute needs explode, decentralized compute is becoming core “next-cycle” infrastructure. ICN is strategically positioned at the “data layer,” abstracting storage and compute into standard APIs and offering these resources for AI, training, data delivery, and execution—placing ICN at the heart of the "AI x Web3" fusion narrative.

III. Valuation Outlook

Impossible Cloud Network (ICNT) stands out as the most mature, revenue-proved DePIN cloud infra project in the market. Its ambition is to displace traditional cloud, becoming the backbone for both AI and next-gen enterprise cloud in Web3. To date, ICN has completed four funding rounds totalling $18M, serves over 1,000 enterprise customers, and maintains a robust commercial feedback loop.

Uniquely, the project separates hardware, protocol, and monitoring, solving classic DePIN problems around validation and scalability. The network is already live, with mainnet launched.

Token-wise, ICNT has a total supply of 700 million, with public trading yet to commence, but comparison to peers like Render, io.net, and Grass (decentralized compute/infra) points to valuation potential of $500M–$1B+ fully-diluted, with 3–5x appreciation likely as ecosystem/product adoption scales.

IV. Tokenomics

Total Supply: 700,000,000 ICNT

Allocation & Unlocks:

  • Team: 154.7M (22.1%)
    • 133M: 12-month lock, then linear vest over 24 months
    • 21.7M: 7.2M after 12 months, 14.5M linear vest over 24 months
  • Investors: 150.5M (21.5%)
    • 12-month lock, then linear vest over 24 months
  • Network Rewards (e.g. HyperNodes): 140M (20.0%)
    • 21M (15%) immediate, 119M (85%) linear release over 48 months
  • Partners: 77M (11.0%)
    • 38.5M (50%) immediate, 38.5M (50%) linear vest over 36 months
  • Ecosystem Development: 70M (10.0%)
    • 35M (50%) immediate, 35M (50%) linear vest over 24 months
  • Network Expansion: 70M (10.0%)
    • 100% released at TGE
  • DevCo (Cloud Service Dev Company): 37.8M (5.4%)
    • 18.9M (50%) immediate, 18.9M (50%) linear vest over 24 months

Utility:

  1. Accessing Network Services
ICNT is required to access storage, compute, and network resources—making it the backbone of platform value.
  2. Hardware Collateral & Node Incentives
ScalerNodes and HyperNodes must stake ICNT to operate and are rewarded for protocol service. Poorly performing or malicious nodes are slashed.
  3. Protocol Governance (Planned)
While governance is not yet live, ICNT will serve as the voting and proposal token as the system matures.
  4. Yield Sharing
Node operators earn ICNT rewards for hardware provision. Token holders can also stake to share network revenues.

V. Team & Funding

Team:
ICN’s team combines expertise from Europe’s internet/cloud/software industries, with deep Web2 enterprise and product delivery experience.

  • Co-founder Dr. Kai Wawrzinek previously led Goodgame Studios, which scaled to hundreds of millions of users and was ultimately Nasdaq-listed. His experience in high-throughput backend engineering and large-scale commercial ops laid a solid foundation for building enterprise-grade cloud infra.

Funding:
ICN has raised $18M from both Web3 and traditional tech investors.

  • Key backer: NGP Capital (Nokia’s $1.6B VC arm, early Helium and Xiaomi backer)—their involvement signals strong validation and brings high-level industry connections.
  • ICN’s FDV is $470M, positioning it in the upper tier of DePIN, with real revenue and a robust client base.

VI. Risks

  1. Despite its utility and staking logic, ICNT’s unlock schedule stretches 3–4 years, with team+investor allocations exceeding 43%. In a bearish macro or if DePIN sector hype fades, limited liquidity or new demand could see price pressure and weaken node and ecosystem incentives.
  2. While ICN already delivers real revenues, its current clientele is predominantly SMEs in select regions, and has yet to displace giants like AWS or Azure. Large enterprise migration is trust-based and slow; if ICN cannot quickly grow brand recognition and network robustness, scaling and valuation may be limited.
