CZ comments on "TON staking earns UAE Golden Visa": Information remains unclear and unconfirmed by the government

Foresight News reports that Changpeng Zhao commented on the news that "TON is offering UAE Golden Visas to eligible stakers," saying: "Is it true? If it is, that's fantastic. But so far, the information I've received is conflicting. While TON claims that investors can obtain a UAE Golden Visa by staking $100,000 on TON plus a $35,000 fee, some say that the $35,000 fee is actually for transferring the application to an agent, and agents usually only charge $10,000. In addition, the description on the website is not clear, giving the impression that '$35,000 + $100,000 staking' guarantees a Golden Visa, but this has not been confirmed. Some people claim that the project has been approved by the RAK (Ras Al Khaimah) DAO, but this has not been verified through official channels. Others say that regulators VARA, ADGM, and SCA have all stated that staking is a regulated activity, and the TON Foundation does not have the required licenses."

Currently, there is no official government website releasing the latest news on "investment Golden Visas." The UAE officially offers the following categories of Golden Visas: 1. Real estate investment ≥ 2 million dirhams; 2. Business investment or tax contribution ≥ 250,000 dirhams/year; 3. Entrepreneurs with UAE-approved businesses; 4. Skilled professionals with a monthly salary ≥ 30,000 dirhams; 5. Outstanding talents, scientists, creative professionals; 6. Retirees, students, etc. The Golden Visa is great. Categories 5 and 6 cover a wide range."

Changpeng Zhao added, "If this is true, we will definitely work to ensure BNB receives the same treatment."
